Pesticide Use and Residue Survey in Domestic Produce (FY2025)

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries conducts surveys of pesticide use by farm management entities and pesticide residues in agricultural products at the production stage to promote proper pesticide use and support the production of safe crops. It compiled the results of this survey covering domestically produced agricultural products for FY2025.

The use survey found no improper use, and the residue survey found no samples containing pesticides exceeding the maximum residue limits established under the Food Sanitation Act.

Pesticide use was surveyed among 117 farm management entities through logbook entries or interviews. For rice and soybeans, the surveyed entities included those that conducted pest control using unmanned multi-rotor aircraft. There were 981 pesticide applications in total, and 0 entities engaged in improper use, such as applying pesticides to the wrong crops, using incorrect amounts or dilution ratios, or applying them at incorrect times or frequencies.

Residue levels were surveyed for 117 agricultural product samples, covering 594 pesticide-crop combinations in total. If two pesticide ingredients were analyzed for one sample, it was counted as two samples. The survey found 0 samples exceeding the maximum residue limits for pesticides.
