DX Indicators Revised, New Submissions Open April 3, 2026

The Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry revised the self-diagnosis tool called the DX Promotion Indicators in February 2026 so that companies can evaluate their DX initiatives based on recent conditions.

Before the revision, the two organizations established the Study Group on the Ideal Indicators for Promoting Corporate DX in January 2025 and examined how to create indicators that are easy to use.

Companies will use the new indicators to review their DX progress in line with important recent issues, including data, talent, and security.

This revision reviewed the questions and maturity levels and incorporated into the framework elements that have grown more important in recent years, including data use and collaboration, the development and securing of digital talent, and cybersecurity. The subject is an initiative for companies to self-diagnose their DX progress.

Self-diagnosis results using the new DX Promotion Indicators are scheduled to be accepted from April 3, 2026. Companies submitting the current DX Promotion Indicators Self-Diagnosis Format Ver2.4 must complete their submission by April 2, 2026. Guidance materials describing response methods and other information will be provided successively on the official IPA website.
