Overview
The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity's WRC Conference Preparatory Group, or APG, is responsible for regional preparations to revise international radio regulations.
Looking ahead to the 2027 World Radiocommunication Conference, WRC-27, APG27-3 will coordinate the positions of countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific region and consolidate shared perspectives that will form the basis for joint proposals.
Impact
Aligning positions within the region is expected to make it easier to reflect the views of APT member countries and regions in WRC-27 discussions and strengthen the region's voice in international spectrum-use policy.
As government authorities, researchers, telecommunications operators, manufacturers, and others from countries and regions share discussions, the meeting will also provide a forum for considering the direction of future communication services and related industries.

The meeting will be held at Sapporo Convention Center in Sapporo, Hokkaido, in a hybrid format combining in-person and online participation.
Participants will include telecommunications regulatory authorities, related organizations, telecommunications operators, and manufacturers from countries and regions, as well as stakeholders from within and outside the region.
Key agenda items include consideration of new spectrum use for mobile communication systems such as 6G, mobile-satellite services and frequency allocations for direct-to-device satellite communications, and the development of regional proposals on agenda items to be addressed at WRC-27.
