Occupational Safety and Health Act Added to Japan Product Safety Pledge

Some products regulated by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's Occupational Safety and Health Act will newly be covered by the Product Safety Pledge (Japan). Overview
The Product Safety Pledge (Japan) is Japan's version of a product safety pledge, developed based on the OECD's published Statement on Product Safety Pledges to protect consumers more than ever from risks to life and physical safety posed by recalled and unsafe products.
This initiative was developed on June 29, 2023, by the Consumer Affairs Agency, the Fire and Disaster Management Agency, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and other relevant ministries and agencies responsible for consumer products, together with online marketplace operators.
