The Fisheries Agency announced the publication of the FY Reiwa 8 resource assessment results conducted by the Japan Fisheries Research and Education Agency for 8 major fish species and 10 resources. Overview
The Fisheries Agency announced that the assessment results for 8 major fish species and 10 resources had been published as the FY Reiwa 8 resource assessment results. Resource surveys and assessments are conducted to contribute to the appropriate conservation and management of fishery resources.

Resource assessments are conducted for major fishery resources in the waters surrounding Japan through the outsourcing of projects to joint implementing organizations comprising the Japan Fisheries Research and Education Agency, prefectural testing and research institutes, and other organizations, and the results are published.
The subjects this time are the Pacific stock of horse mackerel, the Tsushima Warm Current stock of horse mackerel, the Pacific stock of Japanese sardine, the Tsushima Warm Current stock of Japanese sardine, the Pacific stock of Japanese anchovy, the western Sea of Japan and East China Sea stock of red sea bream, Pacific splendid alfonsino, the Pacific stock of round herring, the western Sea of Japan and East China Sea stock of round scad, and East China Sea jack mackerel species.
