Participants included Takanori Matsumura, Director-General of the Statistics Department of the Minister's Secretariat at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and others from Japan, and Chanawat Sittitool, Deputy Director-General of the Office of Agricultural Economics at the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and others from Thailand.

During the site visits, the participants actively exchanged information and deepened their understanding of Japanese agricultural products and agricultural production sites.

The meeting was held in Conference Room 1 of the Statistics Department at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (door number: North 314). The agenda covered developments concerning agricultural statistical surveys in both countries, the introduction of new survey methods, and future directions. It was decided that the next meeting would be held in Thailand in the next fiscal year, with the schedule and other details to be coordinated later.
On August 27, 2026, the participants observed an actual measurement survey of rice plants in a paddy field under the jurisdiction of the Tohoku Regional Agricultural Administration Office to understand Japan's statistical surveys and conditions at production sites. They also visited JR Fruit Park Sendai Arahama.
