[Additional Call] Support for Regional Digital Fisheries Plans

As the environment surrounding Japan’s fisheries industry becomes increasingly challenging, the Fisheries Agency considers it important to promote initiatives using digital technologies and other tools to develop fisheries into a growth industry through proper resource management.

“Digital Fisheries Strategy Bases” are model areas where communities work together to use digital technologies and other tools in initiatives spanning from fish landings to the shipment, distribution, and consumption of catches.

The Fisheries Agency aims to support the development of regional plans and related activities, promote digitalization efficiently and effectively, create more Digital Fisheries Strategy Bases, expand the model horizontally, and revitalize local communities.

The call for applications is conducted with the General Incorporated Foundation Fisheries Ports, Fishing Grounds and Fishing Villages Research Institute as the implementing body. Applicants should review the application guidelines in the attached materials and submit their applications to the institute.
