This report summarizes the survey results of the Feed-in Tariff System business plan implementation optimization project conducted by the Kyushu Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry in FY 2024.
The Feed-in Tariff (FIT) system is an important policy system aimed at promoting renewable energy adoption, but proper implementation of business plans and ensuring transparency in system operation have become important challenges.
This survey conducted detailed analysis of the implementation status of renewable energy projects in the Kyushu region, compatibility between business plans and actual operational conditions, and challenges in system operation. Various renewable energy projects including solar power, wind power, and biomass power generation were covered.
Survey results confirmed that while many business operators are implementing projects appropriately, problems were identified in some cases including deviation from business plans, inadequate maintenance systems, and insufficient coordination with local communities. Particularly, the importance of continuous monitoring and guidance systems after project commencement was highlighted.
Additionally, for system optimization, the necessity was pointed out for stricter business plan reviews, strengthening regular monitoring systems, appropriate measures against violating business operators, and improving consensus-building processes with local residents.
The survey results are expected to be utilized as important reference materials for future improvement of renewable energy policies and optimization of system operations.
