The background is the Act Partially Amending the Act on the Promotion of Ensuring National Security through Integrated Implementation of Economic Measures and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation Act, promulgated on June 17, 2026. That Act provided for improvements to the operation of the critical infrastructure system.
