Release of the 2025 Global Warming Impact Survey Final Report

This report was prepared as part of initiatives based on the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Climate Change Adaptation Plan, revised in August 2023. With the cooperation of each prefecture, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries compiles the impacts considered to result from global warming, including heat-related damage at agricultural production sites, as well as adaptation measures.

This final version confirms the preliminary report data and presents information on the impacts of global warming on agricultural and livestock products, the extent to which adaptation measures have spread, and reference information concerning global warming adaptation measures.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries expects initiatives based on the adaptation plan to continue being promoted in each prefecture, while taking into account the adaptation measures and heatstroke prevention measures presented in the report.

The survey was conducted with the cooperation of each prefecture and organizes the impacts, including heat-related damage, at agricultural production sites and adaptation measures. In the final version, the data from the preliminary report released on March 27, 2026, were confirmed.

The content includes impacts on agricultural and livestock products, the extent to which adaptation measures have spread, and reference information on global warming adaptation measures. The report is also released on the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries website as reference material for extension officers and government officials.
