FY2026 Administrative Consultation Month and Awards Ceremony

The two-month period from September through October 2026 is Administrative Consultation Month. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications’ administrative consultation service responds to concerns about government work and procedures, including requests such as “I want you to explain the system” and “I do not know where to ask for advice.”

To help the public better understand and use administrative consultations, September through October is designated as Administrative Consultation Month every year, with a focused effort on consultation and public information activities.

The aim is to help the public better understand and use administrative consultations.

One-Stop Administrative Consultation Offices provide opportunities to receive one-stop assistance with various administrative consultations.

One-Stop Administrative Consultation Offices will be opened at 149 locations nationwide, primarily during Administrative Consultation Month. In addition to local volunteer Administrative Consultation Commissioners, visitors can consult in one stop with national institutions such as Legal Affairs Bureaus, Regional Taxation Bureaus, and Labour Bureaus, as well as local governments and various specialists.

Administrative Consultation Commissioners serve as a bridge between the public and the administration, receiving consultations concerning national government administration and promoting their resolution.

The Administrative Consultation Commissioners’ Ministerial Commendation Ceremony is held to honor people who have made significant contributions over many years by presenting them with certificates of commendation from the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications.

In FY2026, the ceremony will be held at the Keio Plaza Hotel on October 5, 2026 (Monday).
