Strengthen Zero-Emission Vessel Supply: FY2025 Supplementary Budget Call 2

This is the second call for applications under the Zero-Emission Vessel Construction Promotion Project, based on the FY2025 supplementary budget. Under its cooperation with the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism will support projects that develop the production facilities and other equipment necessary for constructing zero-emission vessels and other ships.

The framework targets ships and other vessels that use hydrogen, ammonia, or electricity (batteries) as propulsion energy sources and promotes the establishment of a domestic supply system and market adoption.

The project seeks to reduce CO2 emissions by promoting market adoption, strengthen industrial competitiveness, and drive economic growth.

It will establish a domestic supply system for zero-emission vessels and other ships ahead of the rest of the world.

Eligible subsidy recipients are private companies and other entities that meet the conditions specified in the call for applications and related guidelines. Eligible projects involve developing production facilities for related marine equipment, as well as facilities and other equipment for installing related marine equipment on ships through outfitting.
