47th Policy Evaluation Council with 46th Policy Evaluation System Subcommittee

This preliminary report provides an overview of a meeting of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Policy Evaluation Council and may be revised later. The 47th Policy Evaluation Council meeting was held jointly with the 46th Policy Evaluation System Subcommittee, with agenda items concerning policy evaluation and administrative operation improvement surveys.

The materials consist of the composition of the council and related bodies, the progress of policy evaluation, the reflection of findings in policies, empirical joint research, draft guidelines, individual surveys, relevant laws and regulations, and rules governing meeting procedures.

The agenda covered the appointment of the acting chair, acting subcommittee chair, and members of the subcommittee and working group; the status of policy evaluation efforts; proposed themes for administrative operation improvement surveys to be conducted in the future; and the results of recently conducted surveys.

The meeting was held in person and online, and was attended by 11 members and 12 officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. The materials included member lists as of June 1, 2026, and July 16, 2026; the implementation status of policy evaluations and other assessments in fiscal 2025 and their reflection in policies; empirical joint research projects; projects scheduled for fiscal 2026; and draft policy evaluation guidelines.

The individual survey materials covered a survey on employment support for older people in local communities, focusing on Silver Human Resources Centers; a policy evaluation concerning measures for hay fever; and an overview of the results of administrative operation improvement surveys conducted from March to May 2026. The reference materials consisted of relevant laws and regulations and rules governing meeting procedures.
