April 2026 Preliminary Report: Foreign-Trade Containers at Six Major Ports

The April 2026 preliminary report summarizes the number of foreign-trade cargo containers at six major ports: Tokyo Port, Kawasaki Port, Yokohama Port, Nagoya Port, Osaka Port, and Kobe Port. The total number of containers was 1,226,091 TEU, up 0.9% from the same month of the previous year. The breakdown was 612,194 TEU of exports, up 0.2% from the same month of the previous year, and 613,897 TEU of imports, up 1.6%. Both exports and imports increased from the same month of the previous year. These figures are preliminary.
