June Construction Material Supply-Demand Balanced Across All Surveyed Materials

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism conducts a monthly survey to track changes in supply and demand, prices, and inventories for major construction materials required for construction projects, by material and region. This survey was conducted from June 1 to 5, 2026, and covered 7 material groups and 13 items, including ready-mixed concrete, steel products, and timber.

Compared with the previous month, prices for asphalt mixtures (new and recycled materials), deformed reinforcing bars, H-section steel, timber (formwork plywood), and petroleum were described as “slightly higher.” Prices for all other materials were “unchanged.”

Supply and demand were “balanced” for all surveyed materials. Inventory conditions were also “normal” for all surveyed materials, but the inventory survey was limited to aggregates (sand, gravel, crushed stone, and recycled crushed stone), deformed reinforcing bars, H-section steel, and timber (sawn timber and formwork plywood).

The survey is conducted to stabilize the supply, demand, and prices of construction materials and facilitate the smooth execution of construction projects. It is a system for continuously tracking changes in the supply and demand, prices, and inventories of major construction materials.
