Results of Climate Response Funds-Supplying Operations

In its July 17, 2026 announcement titled “Results of Funds-Supplying Operations to Support Responses to Climate Change,” the Bank of Japan presented the loan date, repayment date, scheduled total amount of loans, and other details. The loans were provided on July 21, 2026, and the repayment date is July 21, 2027. The scheduled total amount of loans is 13.9812 trillion yen, and the outstanding loan balance as of July 21, 2026 is projected to be 24.9361 trillion yen. The document also presents the outstanding balance of eligible investments and loans as reference information.

The notice date and time are 9:30 a.m. on July 17, 2026; the loan date is July 21 of the same year; and the repayment date is July 21, 2027. The scheduled total amount of loans includes loans to central cooperative financial institutions resulting from the use of the operation by financial institutions that are members of those central institutions but are not counterparties to the Bank of Japan's current account transactions. The outstanding loan balance is a projection as of July 21, 2026.
