The National Center for Geriatrics and Gerontology announced its latest research achievements.
As advanced research results in elderly medical care and nursing care, research achievements are reported including development of early diagnostic technology for dementia, exercise programs for frailty prevention, and improvement of nutritional management methods for elderly people. Particularly, practical application of AI technology-based cognitive function evaluation systems, effect verification of multidisciplinary cooperation in comprehensive community care systems, and development of comprehensive approaches for improving elderly people's QOL are major research themes.
Research activities are developed that contribute to optimizing medical and nursing care delivery systems in super-aged society through development of innovative treatment methods aimed at improving quality and efficiency of longevity medical care, promotion of preventive medicine, and strengthening cooperation with community medical care. Initiatives for social implementation of research results are also actively promoted.
