The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has selected the recipients of its FY2026 ministerial awards for people who have contributed to promoting food hygiene and supporting food hygiene administration, as well as exemplary food hygiene facilities. The recipients comprise 166 food hygiene merit awardees, 87 food hygiene facilities of excellence, and 1 food hygiene merit awardee connected with milk hygiene. The ceremony for the merit awardees and facilities of excellence will be held at Meijiza on October 22, and the ceremony connected with milk hygiene will take place at Hotel East 21 Tokyo on November 6.

The recipients of the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare's awards are 166 food hygiene merit awardees, 87 food hygiene facilities of excellence, and 1 food hygiene merit awardee connected with milk hygiene. The individual awardees and facilities are listed in the attached roster.
The ceremony for food hygiene merit awardees and food hygiene facilities of excellence will be held at 10:00 on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Meijiza (2-31-1 Nihonbashihamacho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo).
The ceremony for food hygiene merit awardees connected with milk hygiene will be held at 15:30 on Friday, November 6, 2026, at Hotel East 21 Tokyo (6-3-3 Toyo, Koto-ku, Tokyo).
