Honoring Construction Masters and Junior Masters
Overview
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism will honor 446 construction workers with outstanding technical and practical skills as Construction Masters, and 120 young skilled workers expected to excel in the future as Construction Junior Masters. Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Ibayashi and Director-General Sudo of the Real Estate and Construction Economy Bureau will present the honors, respectively. The ceremony will be held on October 14, 2026, at Bunkyo Civic Hall. The two programs have been held annually since fiscal years 1992 and 2015, respectively.

The Outstanding Construction Performance Award from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (Construction Master) has been held annually since fiscal year 1992, and the Outstanding Young Construction Worker Award from the Director-General of the Real Estate and Construction Economy Bureau (Construction Junior Master) has been held annually since fiscal year 2015.
