Overview
The fourth call for applications for the FY2026 Truck Transport Energy-Saving Promotion Project will open. Under this project, conducted in cooperation with the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, part of the costs of introducing vehicle operation management systems, reservation reception systems, and other systems, as well as double-linked trucks and swap-body container vehicles, will be subsidized to improve transport efficiency through cooperation between truck operators and shippers. Applications will be accepted from September 28, 2026, at 10:00 to October 7, 2026, at 16:00.

Overview
The FY2026 Truck Transport Energy-Saving Promotion Project is designed to further reduce energy consumption in truck transport by having truck operators and shippers cooperate to improve efficiency across the entire logistics system.
Truck transport accounts for about 40% of energy consumption in the transport sector. However, efforts by truck operators acting alone have limitations, making coordinated transport efficiency improvements necessary.

By supporting part of the costs of ambitious initiatives undertaken by operators and shippers, the project will promote further energy savings in truck transport.

In the fourth call, part of the costs of introducing vehicle operation management systems, reservation reception systems, and other transport efficiency systems, as well as double-linked trucks and swap-body container vehicles, will be subsidized under a project conducted in cooperation with the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy to demonstrate the reduction in energy consumption achieved through improved transport efficiency.
