Compared with the same period in fiscal 2024, the delay rate rose by 0.45 percentage points in October–December to 17.39%, then fell by 1.51 percentage points in January–March to 17.15%. The cancellation rate rose by 0.63 percentage points in October–December to 1.31%, and by 0.41 percentage points in January–March to 1.77%.
The carriers covered are specified Japanese air carriers operating aircraft with more than 100 passenger seats or a maximum takeoff weight exceeding 50,000 kg, and other domestic scheduled air carriers. Information for the former is generally released quarterly, and for the latter twice a year.
The released items include delay rates, cancellation rates, transport results by airline and route, and fare-setting status by airline. Fare-setting status covers specified Japanese air carriers for October–December 2025 and January–March 2026. The fiscal 2025 data was released later than usual because reviewing corrections to historical data required additional time.
