The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism announced on July 31, 2025, the results of the construction work orders statistics survey for June 2025 targeting 50 major construction companies. Key results show that private sector construction increased 30.3% year-over-year due to increased demand from transportation/postal services, manufacturing, and information/communications industries, marking seven consecutive months of growth. Total orders also increased 22.5% year-over-year, marking four consecutive months of growth.
This statistical survey is conducted monthly as an important indicator for understanding construction industry trends, serving as a barometer for the outlook of construction investment. The sustained growth in private sector construction reflects the recovery of corporate capital investment appetite and increased facility development demand in the transportation, manufacturing, and information/communications industries. The Construction Economics Statistics Survey Office of the Policy Bureau's Information Policy Division at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is responsible for this survey.
