Its main activities include policy recommendations to the Japanese government, operation of industry-specific committees, and support for European companies. Regarding inward investment, it takes an integrated approach to trade and investment, highly evaluating Japan's market stability and high-quality consumer base. However, it identifies labor shortage, particularly management personnel, as the greatest challenge, pointing to the lack of English-proficient engineers and specialists. It also promotes European corporate investment in local regions through active exchanges with local governments.
