Overview of Game by CODE Program Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology announced on September 10 the implementation of the "Game by CODE" program in collaboration with the Digital Entrepreneurship Center (CODE) and the National Technology Development Program (NTDP). The program aims to enable university students, young entrepreneurs, and game developers to enter the gaming industry and promote digital entrepreneurship in Saudi Arabia.
3-Month Integrated Incubation Environment The program is implemented in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Hofuf, covering game art, game programming, game design, and entrepreneurship. Participants work in teams to develop games and receive expert support, technical guidance, and practical training.
Opportunity to Participate in MVPLab Program The final stage of the program features a showcase where participants present their projects to industry experts and investors. The best teams from each city receive qualification to participate in the "MVPLab Program," an initiative aimed at creating 1,000 emerging technology companies.
Game Industry Development Based on National Strategy Saudi Arabia aims to become a global hub for gaming and esports through talent development, infrastructure development, corporate attraction, and international competition hosting based on the "National Gaming and Esports Strategy." In July 2025, it hosted the second Esports World Cup in Riyadh, and announced the first "Esports Nations Cup" to be held in November 2026.
