Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's latest announcement reveals that the annual "METI Children's Day" held during summer vacation will take place on August 6-7 (Wednesday-Thursday) this year. As an event where parents and children can experience future technologies and learn enjoyably about various companies and METI's work, 51 booths are scheduled to exhibit this year. Notable booths include "Beyond Your Imagination! That's the Expo" showcasing post-opening scenes of the Osaka-Kansai Expo through video with Expo PR goods giveaways and possible meetings with official character "Myaku-Myaku." The "Learn Programming and Try Game Creation!" booth offers authentic programming experiences using SEGA's "Puyo Puyo Programming" educational materials with the same image assets as the commercial version. The concurrent career program for high school and junior high school students themed "Find Your Future Self!" features specialists from robotics, energy, AI, and other fields. August 6 programs include "Let's Create Industries That Don't Yet Exist in the Future" and "Let's Think About a Society Walking Together with Robots," while August 7 features "Know the Backbone Work That Moves the Future! Energy Jobs," "Let's Ask AI to Do Work!" and "MITOU Alumni Coloring the Osaka-Kansai Expo." The high school and junior high school events require pre-registration with applications closing on July 28 (Monday). The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is actively engaged in next-generation talent development by preparing numerous exciting contents useful for children's summer vacation research projects.
