Japan-Armenia diplomatic relations have steadily developed since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1992. This summit meeting served as an important opportunity to further deepen bilateral relations.
The leaders exchanged views on economic cooperation, cultural exchanges, and regional situations, confirming the strengthening of future cooperative relations. The importance of cooperation for stability and development in the Caucasus region, where Armenia is located, was particularly emphasized.
Japan expressed continued support for Armenia's democratization and economic reforms, while Armenia showed expectations for Japanese technical cooperation and investment.
